Tulsi Gabbard's Claims on Biolabs

National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, has just released new evidence

of a U.S. taxpayer-funded biolab network

that she says includes more than 120 labs

stretching across 30 countries.

Our Chief Congressional Correspondent Chad Pergram reports.

He's live on Capitol Hill for us.

Hey, Chad. John, good afternoon.

The debate about biolabs dates back to the pandemic.

Gabbard says the government funded these labs

despite testimony to the contrary.

Many contained dangerous pathogens,

plus the labs conducted gain-of-function research.

As the information surrounding the existence,

history, locations, and funding of these U.S.-funded biolabs

has been intentionally covered up by very powerful people

who falsely claimed that these biolabs didn't exist.

Gain-of-function is an effort to enhance the genetic codes of organisms.

This helps doctors understand the organism to develop vaccines.

Questions remain whether COVID-19 originated in a lab

which conducted gain-of-function research.

Gabbard says there's worry about the security of these labs.

Some are in Ukraine.

That's risky because of the war with Russia.

Politicians and so-called health professionals like Dr. Fauci,

as well as repeatedly to the American people

about the existence of U.S.-funded and supported biolabs.

Not only did they lie,

they threatened those who attempted to expose the truth.

Dr. Anthony Fauci long studied gain-of-function

when he worked at NIH.

It was asked of the trained staff at the institute

if this research would fall under the pause for gain-of-function

and it was determined by trained staff that it did not

because at that time there were two components of guardrails.

There's the guardrail of prior to 2017.

Gabbard instructed the intelligence community to find out what

research is going on at these labs.

This is one of Gabbard's last acts as DNI.

She steps down later this month. John?

Boy, and the Biden White House

was so adamant that none of it was true.
