Dragon Ball Super Beerus Episode Review
Dragon Ball Super Beerus episode one.
I'm gonna be giving you everything we saw from New York Comic Con, the exclusive
premiere. It's going to be earlier than everywhere
in the world, so anything you
want to know from the episode one, watch this video to the end.
Be sure to drop me a follow, and if you have any questions,
drop them down below.
I'll try to get to them because I'll get more memories of things that happened in
the episode based on the things that you're saying.
I don't have any video or footage because we weren't allowed to
record, but I
did take notes the whole way through.
So regarding the opening, the opening has a lot of transformations
from
Goku. Not all of them. There is Kid Goku, which I found very
interesting. So they show the OG version, they show him in base, they show him in
Super Saiyan. All of that was tough.
I would compare it to Dragon Ball Super Broly, not necessarily in the way of its
animations because we've seen the trailer, so you guys should know what it's going
to look like. But what I mean is it's very cinematic in the same format.
So if you like DBS Broly, I really do think you'd love this opening.
Also, the colors are very, very vibrant.
When I say vibrant, like, you're looking at them, you're like,
"Wow." If you don't
have an OLED monitor or if you do have a OLED monitor,
that's exactly what I'd
compare it to. It's just beautiful through and through.
And besides from that, there's just cameos from everybody.
Considering I was watching it while also trying to take notes,
I don't have every
single detail, but you can imagine what type of opening
it is.
It's showing characters like Gohan, Piccolo.
There is a aura farming scene you guys would love.
So when you do get to watch it, you'll see what I mean.
So if we go straight into the episode, one thing that I do really want to point
out
that a lot of it is very accurate to the manga.
It's looking very one-to-one so far, to the point where Goku's personality
is like it is in the manga. A lot of people don't like how they
depicted him in the
first initial rendition of Dragon Ball Super, so just look out for that as well.
It starts off with Goku on the farm, and he's with Goten, of course.
He goes into the motions of shadow boxing, just like he did at the start of Dragon
Ball Super. So he's getting the mental renditions of
Frieza, Cell, and
Kid Buu. At the start, Frieza goes up. He gets no diffed pretty much.
Goku's in Super Saiyan. Then Cell shows up.
They have a actual aura battle, which was pretty cool.
So they're both in their powered up states and you see the ki and the fizzing and
the static, right? Goku's is going off, Cell's is going off, and it's clashing to
against each other. That was pretty cool.
And then Kid Buu shows up, and then they start showing the universe.
At this point, it's flicking between Kid Buu, Goku,
as well as Beerus.
And right before Goku's about to launch a Kamehameha against Kid Buu,
Beerus wakes up and, of course, Goten with the tractor,
it's about to fall off, so
he has to go save Goten. There is also a showing of Vegito, which I found
pretty cool. Vegito's got his arms crossed like this,
and basically Goku's
explaining how he needs to get much stronger because there's a lot of stronger
guys. Hercule looks amazing, by the way. He's slim, tall.
I wanna specifically say he looked taller than Goku.
And of course, following the story, he gives Goku money based on the plot that
happened. Regarding Beerus and Whis, it's very, very cool the way they fly
through space. They fly through space with this type of
image, so the way the
astronaut's lines are, like, very colorful.
They're just zooming through the universe, right?
And they do not change their course because there's a planet in the way.
Us, as humans, if we're running in a straight line
and there's a car in the way,
you're gonna go to the left of it. You're gonna go around it.
But these guys, Beerus and Whis, they're just zooming through planets,
destroying them on their way to their destination.
They're taking the shortest path possible.
Really showing how powerful they are, honestly. We get to the planet.
There isn't much more to say. Beerus destroys the planet with a tap of a
finger.
Crazy. We also get some screen time from Elder
Kai because he's kind of
noticed there's a disturbance in the universe, that being
that Beerus has woken up.
We get some scenes on King Kai's planet.
Goku's eating there, and he's preparing to train pretty much.
And on the other end, Vegeta's training in the gravity chamber,
and he's actually
getting fried in the gravity chamber.
But he's in his own head basically trying to say, "I need to surpass Goku."
He specifically says, "No everyone in the universe, and I will
become the ultimate fighter." That's his ambition.
Later on, this is where the episode ends.
There's a scene where Beerus and Whis, they land on another planet, and there's
this yellow thing pretty much, and it powers up into a super strong red
monster.
Now, this monster here is looking like it's using Kaio-ken,
judging the aura.
Maybe even Jiren's aura from the Tournament of Power.
And it starts literally going ham on Beerus.
Now, Beerus is using his finger to block every
single one of the attacks, similar
to what we've seen Super Saiyan Goku do against Trunks at the start of the Cell
saga. The whole point of him fighting this other
monster is just him in the
process of trying to remember what the dream was that he had, and then he
eventually remembers that it's the Super Saiyan God.
Beerus, of course, destroyed the planet, but while the planet was in its
destruction state, so it's just aura in the sky,
he then remembers, "Yeah,
it was Super Saiyan God." And that's pretty much it.
If you have any questions, drop me a follow and leave a reply.
I'll most likely get to it because I'll obviously remember details based on the
certain things that you're looking for. Good luck though. Appreciate you guys.
