Why does this CIA file describe exploring ancient

Mars through a human mind without leaving the room?

This session happened in May 1984.

Its target remained concealed inside a sealed paper

envelope.

The sealed envelope named Mars, one million years before

Christ.

Their subject received coordinates without opening it.

The envelope stayed closed until the interview ended.

Coordinates guided him while the target remained concealed

inside.

He described enormous pyramids, towering stone walls,

and savage storms.

Then the account moved inside those structures.

He described empty chambers for sleeping through savage storms.

These structures functioned as shelters in his account.

He reported tall, thin beings sheltering inside.

Their environment was failing. He described an ancient people

dying.

When asked to approach one, he reported something stranger.

The being perceived his presence as a hallucination.

"Some had left searching for another home," he said.

"The others waited while their entire

world failed."

Asked about their departure, he described rounded walls

and shiny metal resembling the interior of a boat.

He described volcanoes, gas pockets, and strange

plants.

Then the monitor recalled him to their interview room.
