Future of Repurposed Drugs in Cancer Care
You know, there's no question that repurposed drugs
are the future of cancer care.
And if AI is gonna be used for anything, it'll be used to discover more
repurposed drugs that we can use for terminally ill cancer
patients.
Now, ivermectin is the most famous of
repurposed drugs, but it's not the only one.
There are, in fact, dozens of repurposed drugs,
and they're not all
antiparasitics either. For example, aspirin has been shown
to have an effect in colon cancer. Metformin has been shown to have an
effect in several cancers. Now, that's a diabetes drug.
There are antifungal drugs that are being repurposed.
There are antibiotics like doxycycline that are being repurposed.
So it's a big field, and it's a very exciting
new field. I think it shows the most promise because
some of these drugs have a very powerful effect.
They're off-patent, they're cheap, they're accessible to everyone, and they
have the pharmaceutical industry in an absolute panic.
So it's not just ivermectin, it's not just fenbendazole, mebendazole.
There are other antiparasitics like niclosamide, nitazoxanide,
hydroxychloroquine, and others.
Uh, it's a really exciting area of research
right now.
Uh, I'm gonna be doing everything to get
clinical trials up and running in Florida.
As I mentioned in previous videos, there were two ivermectin clinical trials
last year. Now there are already six, and by next year there's
probably gonna be a dozen.
So stay tuned. There's a lot of excitement in this field
right now.
