ஜான்வி கபூர், ராதிகா ஆப்தே: நடிகைகளால் மறுப்பு சொல்ல முடியுமா

Recent issue that came out right what happened with ஜான்வி கபூர் in film பேத்தி she comes from அவ்வளவு ஒரு influential family வந்து இருக்காங்க.

It's very interesting that இந்த மாதிரி அவங்க வெளியில வந்து பேசுறாங்க.

But I feel like at the end of the day for any actor அது உங்க கையில இருக்கு.

நீங்க uncomfortable feel பண்றீங்கன்னா please walk out of the film.

I don't think we should be put in a place where we say we didn't have a choice and this is not against it's not against man or woman.

Because as a woman it's very easy for me to take a side and of course I will take the side of a woman right.

No you can walk out of the film. Especially being who you are and you know நீங்க ஜான்வின்னு சொன்னீங்க. அவங்க எங்க இருந்து வராங்க.

அவங்க it's interesting that அவங்க அந்த scenes பண்ணிட்டு நானும் ஏதோ படிச்சேன் actually அவங்க இந்த மாதிரி எனக்கு script குடுக்கலை.

Southல in fact it's a very valid point. அவங்க சொன்னது ரொம்ப valid ஆன point அது.

Bombayல it's very different. அது ரொம்ப அங்க அங்க ரொம்ப organized இருப்பாங்க அவங்க.

You know they will have your call sheet they will have everything you will know.

அந்த call sheet தினம் ஒரு call sheet வரும்.

உங்க managerக்கு உங்களுக்கு அனுப்புவாங்க.

அதுல இருந்து sunrise sunset what is the shoot timing DOP யாரு technicians technicians யாரு அவங்க ADs ஓட பேரு அவங்க ADs ஓட numbers அன்னைக்கு யார் யார் artists வரணும் என்னென்ன scene numbers இருக்கும் till the end எல்லாமே it will all be given in one sheet.

So யார் அந்த sheet பார்த்தாங்கன்னா அவங்களுக்கு தெரியும் என்ன நடக்குது அங்க.

Okay that's how organized they are over there.

But இங்க அவ்வளவு organized இல்லை. But I don't think as women we should be able to take a stand.

I feel like அந்த same stand ஜான்வி எடுத்திருக்காங்கன்னா அதை படத்துக்கு முன்னாடியே எடுத்திருக்கலாம்.

There is no reason for which- But she couldn't say no.

Why not is my question. Yeah but she says in that interview she mentioned that why she couldn't say no director பேச்சைக் கேக்கணும் அந்த கட்டாயத்துனால என்னால no சொல்ல முடியல.

That's what I thought was very questionable. Yeah it's very interesting.

There are different ways of handling this and there are different ways of talking about it.

But there's already ஒரு North South divide and I'm saying this as a South Indian actor going there.

ஜான்வி கபூர் has spoken on a Karan Johar show saying அவங்க என்னை objectify பண்ணியிருக்காங்க. எனக்கு వాయిஸ் இல்ல சொல்றதுக்கு chance இல்ல சொல்றதுக்கு நான் no சொல்ல முடியல.

The same Karan Johar in a Dharma Productions movie that I have done called Kesari 2 has decided not to promote me in the film.

Now what am I supposed to call that? Objectifying what? That I'm a South Indian?

Were you given a reason for that? No. Till date I do not even know why.

But they're not the only women who acted with older men, first of all.

Whether you don't like a film, you have, you have every right to go say, "I don't want to do it," and walk out of the film. Right.

Create news about walking out of the film. Mm.

That would be better for you to do than to sit and talk about it, and I understand.

Maybe you were pushed in a place where you couldn't do it. Mm.

You're not being put in a position where you're totally this thing.

And I pretty much know that I can act- Mm ... to save my life. Mm.

So, in the body issues, there's a way to handle it, and there's a place to have these conversations.

I understand that Janhvi Kapoor is probably sitting in a comfort, in a, in a comfort zone today and is able to bring out these conversations, and that's what we want to create for women today.

A comfortable space where Tamil Nadu about it.

But who's going to ask me about Dharma Productions not, uh, promoting me through the film at all? Yeah, that's very strange.

Yeah, we pay for that. Yeah, if they've casted you in that cinema, you want- And I play Akshay Kumar's wife in the film. Yeah, yeah.

And a pretty prominent role. Mm. And there's not been one promotion done with me.

There's not been one name of mine anywhere during promotion.

But is that because you're a South Indian actress? Did they tell you that?

I have zero idea and zero clue. Right. I can sit here and say, "This is probably why, and that is probably why."

I'll never know, and I honestly don't care anymore.

And I'm just having this conversation because I don't like that North-South divide more than anything else.
