Trump Responds to Obama on White House Renovations
And now they say, "Oh, whoa, Barack Obama's gonna start
campaigning." And he's not even campaigning.
Tell him he's not campaigning
about me. Maybe he'll go home.
But he came in yesterday, and he made a speech,
and part of his speech was to say,
"Isn't it terrible that Donald
Trump spends a lot of his
time..." Very little time.
I do it very good. I'm really
good at real estate
and fixing things.
I fix things very good,
very beautifully, and it's-- I always feel
beautiful and
inexpensive, which is a good
combination if you can do it.
But I can do it naturally. It's
a natural thing.
It actually relaxes me.
Donald Trump spends a lot of
his time fixing up the White House.
Isn't that a nice thing to do? The place.
No, he said, "This
isn't a Cheesecake Factory.
Can you believe it?" Which is a very successful company.
This isn't a-- He doesn't
like successful companies.
But, you know, he was very
critical about me because I spend
time.
And if you would've seen the White House, I took over the White House, and it was
in horrible condition.
I don't wanna use a terrible word.
It was in horrible condition. Uh, the
plaster was falling off the exterior.
You know, you have an exterior coat. The plaster was falling off.
The paint was no good.
A lot of the beautiful ornamentation
that they have around
the windows, I mean, they
had four or five
windows where literally the
ornamentation was up on one side and had fallen off or half fallen off
on the other, and I
fixed it. We made a mold of the good one,
and we put it on the
other one, and we got it all beautiful.
And then we skim coated with
an exterior plaster that's phenomenal, the entire
exterior with the best
artisans you've ever seen.
And we delicately, one thing
after, we took a tile that was
broken. That was, I mean,
I don't wanna say from Home Depot,
but it does come from
a box, and this, not for the White
House, and it was badly broken in main areas.
Cindy Hyde can tell you, and Roger can tell you, like,
the white marble now
going in, we have the most beautiful marble,
the most beauti-- It w-- It's not
money. It's peanuts. But the White House
is now in better shape than it
was in seventeen ninety-two when it was built, right?
And then I put in a really beautiful masterpiece.
The heliport is a masterpiece. It's
got-- In fact, they
were gonna sue me 'cause I
get sued on everything. I get sued.
But it was so good, they dropped the suit.
They didn't sue.
But the heliport is a masterpiece because the
helicopters, you know, very expensive,
good machines, were forced to land
in grass. And when it was
wet, it was muddy.
And helicopters that cost a hundred million dollars
that are very heavy aren't
supposed to be landing in mud. They're supposed to be landing on a
helipad.
So we built a magnificent
helipad with the eagle of the
United States carved on top.
Did anybody see pictures of it? Did you see pictures of it? People,
people love it.
And for a hundred fifty years, they've wanted to have a-- Not me.
I won't get to use it very much. It'll be finished.
I'll have it for six months or something,
but it's not for me.
This is for the presidents. This is for the future.
We built the most magnificent ballroom.
We built the most magnificent
ballroom you've ever seen. It's
under construction.
It's ahead of schedule. And,
and, you know, they say he
wants a ballroom for himself.
I won't get to use, you know,
the f-- I would've done in the first term,
but I was
under siege by the radical lunatics. You
know, there were--
So I didn't have time.
I didn't have time. But they protected
me, but I didn't have time.
But, uh, we are gonna soon have. And you know what it is?
The exterior windows are bulletproof.
This thick.
The roof has steel on it. This thick.
Drone-proof, missile-proof.
You have a safe place for your presidents
and for your
ca-- I mean, it's, it's a... And it's a beautiful thing.
And it fits like a gl- But, but,
but Barack, Barack Hussein,
he didn't talk about that. He
really didn't talk about all that st--
He talked
about the ballroom that... He
spends all his time thinking about the
ballroom.
He should be thinking about-- No,
I should be thinking about terminating the
JCPOA,
which I did a long time ago, thank God.
The worst, stupidest deal I've ever seen.
