US Politics and Brexit: Warnings on the White House and the Falklands War

You might say to me, "Well, you're not an American.

W- what has it got to do with you?" The fact is, when America sneezes, the world catches a cold.

And, uh, America, I think, is on the edge of a very flu- bad flu infection.

Uh, and it's, it's because of the man who is in the White House.

I do find, as time goes by, I find myself becoming increasingly anxious about where he's heading. We've had experience in the UK.

Everyone knows that sometimes a failing politician, what he needs is a war.

Margaret Thatcher had one. You all loved Margaret Thatcher here in America.

She did so much harm to my country. Um, and she took us into the Falklands. There was no reason, none whatsoever, for us to fight the Argentinians in the Falkland Islands.

Tiny little land masses down in the South Atlantic.

But we did. And you know what? She got reelected at a time when she wasn't even that popular.

So I'm scared. There are whole aspects of the country that not are being, not being attended to. I mean, there are still all these jobs that, that haven't got appointees as yet.

And, and, and he said, "Well, the government was overstaffed anyway.

There were too many people." It probably would be fairer if I said that the anxiety that I feel a- about politics in the United States, and particularly what is going on in the White House, reflect what I feel about Brexit in, in Europe, and what a, a disgraceful mistake that is, and how it's being proved to be with every

week that goes by. We should not be leaving the European Union.

Uh, no one can tell me why it's a good thing, but there are so many people, independent think tanks, economic think tanks, who are saying, "You're heading for calamity."
