Ballon d'Or 2026 Winner Reflects on His Award and Thanks Bayern Munich

Hi, everyone.

Just a little recap of the last

twenty-four

hours. I mean, what a, a crazy,

uh, twenty-four hours it's

been. Obviously,

you can see the, the main trophy here, the

Ballon d'Or twenty twenty-six. Um, yeah, just a,

just an epic night.

Just, um, the fact that

it was in London, seeing all

the fans there,

having all my, my friends and family there.

Um,

and yeah, obviously to, to be

named the winner of such a special

award was

just, um, yeah,

beyond my wildest dreams, you know.

Um, I spoke on, on the stage about, um, you

know, the, the hard work and the, the sacrifice I

had to, to go through to get here.

Um, to be

on the very top now, uh, was down to,

um, you know,

a lot of resilience and a lot of determination.

So, um, yeah, to, to say

that, you know, I've been,

um, named the, the best player

in the world right now

is just, um,

yeah, just mind-blowing

really. So, uh, just

been trying to take it all in.

Obviously, I've got so many messages

of, uh, love and support, uh,

on my phone, on social

media, from fans, from, uh,

people in the

street. Just, uh, yeah, everyone, uh,

congratulating me on

obviously a, a big achievement and,

um, yeah, just been really special to, to hear all those messages.

So, um, yeah,

it's always, it's always, um,

about the next thing, about

the, the improvement and

how can we get better

and, uh, how can we keep pushing.

Um, yeah, right now

this is obviously a, a tremendous milestone in my career.

Uh, a big, big, uh, moment with-without a

doubt. And, um, yeah, if anything, it just motivates me to,

uh, to push even more and see,

you know, uh, if we can

get even better

and, and, and where that

takes us. So obviously massive thank you to

everyone,

uh, at Bayern Munich,

all my teammates, all the staff.

Thank you to everyone, uh, within the national team.

Uh, and yeah, all the,

all the staff, the,

the coaches that have helped me, uh,

achieve this this year.

Um, you know, it's a, a big team effort.

It wouldn't be possible without every single one of you.

So, um, yeah, really appreciate it.

Um, looking forward to just chilling out now

and calming down and,

and trying to, yeah, take it all in and, and hopefully get back to, to some of

those messages.

So, uh, as always,

back in the cup,

back in action. Looking forward to,

to being back at the Allianz

and, and getting on that pitch
