Consolidating and upgrading China–UAE relations

and meets the expectations of the two peoples

China is ready to join hands with the UAE

to build an even more solid and resilient

and vibrant China–UAE comprehensive strategic partnership

The two sides should continue to support each other

on issues concerning their respective core interests and major concerns

maintain high-level exchanges

and strengthen strategic mutual trust

enhance the alignment of development strategies

and in energy, investment, trade, science and technology and other fields

tap potential in depth and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation

promote cooperation in education, civil aviation, tourism and other areas

to achieve greater progress

strengthen people-to-people and cultural exchanges and cement public support

On multilateral platforms such as the United Nations and BRICS

on safeguarding and promoting peace and stability in the Middle East

First, upholding the principle of peaceful coexistence

The Middle East and Gulf countries are as closely linked as lips and teeth

and are neighbors that cannot be moved away

It is necessary to support Middle East and Gulf countries in improving their relations

and promote the building of a common, comprehensive, cooperative

and sustainable security architecture for the Middle East and the Gulf region

and firmly cement the foundation for peaceful coexistence

Second, upholding the principle of national sovereignty

Sovereignty is the basis on which all countries

especially the vast number of developing countries

rely to survive and develop, and it brooks no violation

The sovereignty, security and territorial integrity

of Middle East and Gulf countries should be genuinely respected

The security of all countries’ personnel, facilities and institutions

should be effectively safeguarded

Third, upholding the principle of international rule of law

The authority of international rule of law must be upheld

It must not be used when convenient and discarded when not

nor should the world be allowed to slide back to the law of the jungle

We must firmly uphold the international system

with the United Nations at its core

the international order based on international law

and the basic norms governing international relations

based on the purposes and principles of the UN Charter

Fourth, pursuing coordinated development and security

Security is the precondition for development

and development is the guarantee of security

All parties should foster a sound environment

and inject positive energy into the development of Middle East and Gulf countries

China is ready to share the opportunities of Chinese-style modernization with Middle East and Gulf countries

China–Arab relations have a long history and deep roots

The two countries have always respected and trusted each other

They share extensive common interests

The Arab side attaches great importance to developing relations with China
