Iran Says US Must Take Concrete Steps Before New Talks

Over the past year and a half, uh, in four rounds of what was, in fact, a diplomatic process with the Americans, uh, they disrupted all four rounds of negotiations with hostile actions and broken promises, and created, in fact, a different set of circumstances.

Therefore, the Islamic Republic of Iran has the right to enter a new diplomatic arena and, um, no longer settle for, so to speak, the Americans’ paper commitments.

We must see practical steps from the Americans uh, and these practical steps are very straightforward uh, and must be taken by the other side.

Once they have been put into practice and carried out, then, naturally, the groundwork for opening a new chapter, in fact, will be in place.
