Student Earns Pilot's License Before Driver's License

I like being different than everyone

so, um, to me, I think it's,

like, cool that,

um... Well, like, it's not really an opportunity.

I kinda just didn't do it and

n- now this is how I ended up.

But, um, I think it's kinda cool.

Some people think that it's, like,

weird because I can fly planes but I

can't drive a car. I mean, I can, but

um, a lot of people think it's funny.

I think it's funny, and I n-

now want my license really bad.

The best news? The

school district paid for Natalia to

get her private

pilot's license through the aviation academy.

The district originally offered the

private ground course to students as an

elective before

becoming an official academy in August.

The academy has 125

students from freshmen to

seniors. They work on block

schedules and have the

academy every other
