How is Russia creating a new generation of trad wives?
In these classrooms, girls as young as 10 are being taught how to become wives and mothers.
They're learning floristry, cooking, and dancing.
They wear matching blue dresses, white collars, and stockings.
Trousers are not allowed. The traditional education of girls course was founded two years ago in Udmurtia, a region in central Russia, for girls aged 10 to 16.
It began in four schools, and has since expanded to other parts of the country.
Its founder, Olga Nogovaltseva, says wearing dresses every day reminds girls to be feminine, well-mannered, and gentle.
Each girl receives a brooch bearing the letter D, which represents two values promoted by the program, maidenhood and virtue.
At an initiation ceremony, they officially become noble maidens, but this is also part of a wider push by Vladimir Putin to promote traditional family values.
Russia has been facing population decline, and the Kremlin has introduced financial incentives to encourage women to have more children.
It has also restricted the promotion of childlessness and LGBT identities.
The program is optional, but it has received state certification, opening the way for wider expansion.
So are these schools simply teaching domestic skills, or helping shape the family life that the Kremlin wants to promote?
