Iran was part of the American Empire for twenty-six years because in 1953, Iran had a democratically elected Prime Minister, Mosaddegh, who had the mistaken idea the oil in this country belongs to Iran.
And the British MI6 said to the CIA, "Did you hear what he said?
That that's Iranian oil, not British oil.
What a naive man." So the guy made a huge mistake, and MI6 and the CIA overthrew Mosaddegh, and is known in history as Operation Ajax, and they put in a police state which controlled the oil and divvied it up between British Petroleum,
other big majors, and the US got its bite of the action as well.
But in 1979, there was the Iranian Revolution, and the Iranians overthrew the Shah, the front of this police state, and that's when the current government was created.
But the United States hates that. Who do you think you are to get out of our empire?
And one year into the Iranian Revolution, the United States starts talking to Saddam Hussein, who was an instrument of American power till America turned on him.
"Why don't you go invade Iran? It's your next-door neighbor. We'll fund you.
We'll give you the weapons to do that." What happened afterwards was Saddam started to attack the Iranian facilities, and there was an eight-year war in which hundreds of thousands of Iranians died, and the US funded that.
So the war against Iran, it didn't just start in February 28th 2026.
It started immediately in 1979, and it's been America's project to bring Iran back into the fold because it escaped the American Empire, and we're not gonna let that happen again
