Is Messi Better Than Maradona? Debate on Football’s Greatest Players

For me, Messi is in the top five of all-time history, worldwide, and he is and always will be.

Now, there are these five guys who, for me, are up there.

Pelé, Maradona, Messi… You, Cristiano… Yeah, there are a few others who could be there, but…

I'll take myself out of this so he can feel completely at ease.

No, you would easily be in there if it were about center forwards.

Man, you and me, who was a better center forward than the two of us?

And those guys weren't center forwards like we were.

We need to find a criterion to discuss this.

Once we find a criterion, we can go deeper, but like…

Let's keep some guys on standby to get in there.

From that group, how do we do it? Just choose one without any criteria?

One, the best in history, overall. The guy who scored the most goals.

Right-foot goals, left-foot goals. You can't do that, man.

And, man, we saw a ton of Maradona too. Messi is an absolute genius, wonderful.

But I don't know if he was better than Maradona.

I saw a lot of Maradona too.
