10 Habits That Distance You From God

These are 10 habits that slowly distance you from God.

Number one, neglecting prayer. Prayerlessness is pride.

To go a day without prayer is to tell God that you don't need him that day.

Without prayer, your connection with God weakens.

Number two, inconsistent Bible study. Without reading God's Word, it's easy to be influenced by this world.

Without reading God's Word, you're not receiving the spiritual nutrition you need for every day.

That's why it's called daily bread. Number three, dwelling on negativity.

Fear, doubt, and worry rob you of your peace and your trust in God.

Number four, compromising on sins. Justifying little sins will lead you into bigger sins, and it hardens your ability to hear God, and it hardens your heart towards the Holy Spirit.

Number five, being too busy for God. An overloaded schedule is going to lead you to have no relationship with the Lord.

You're not gonna ever hear his voice. You're never gonna have time to prioritize his presence in your daily life.

Number six, comparing yourself to others.

Focusing on somebody else's journey robs you of seeing what God is doing in your life and God's unique plan for you.

Number seven, ignoring conviction. When you continually push away the Holy Spirit's voice, you grieve him, and your heart becomes hardened to the voice of the Lord.

You need his daily guidance. Number eight, isolating yourself.

Without community, the devil is going to attack you.

The devil's gonna destroy you. Your faith weakens.

You need people in your life to grow. Number nine, chasing worldly success.

No matter how many followers, money, what kind of status you gain on this earth, your heart is always going to be empty.

Even as a Christian, if you're not prioritizing spiritual success, I'm telling you, you're gonna feel drained, empty, and your faith is gonna be weak.

And number ten, being spiritually passive.

Faith requires action. If you're not intentionally pursuing the Lord, then you're unintentionally drifting away from him.

My friend, continue fighting the good fight, continue running after God, and don't let anything take the fire that you have in your heart away from you.
