Narasimha Hymn: The Roar from the Pillar and Fierce Form

Deafening the ears of Hiranyakashipu as he struck the pillar, Your terrible roar arose, shaking the entire hollow of the universe. Hearing this sound, never heard before, in the heart of the king of all demons, a great trembling arose, and even Brahma fell from his lotus seat. The earth, the cosmic egg,

and the supreme universe shook and shattered with a tumultuous sound, with the drumbeats of" Dim- Dim", burning and leaping with great bounds, with matching, echoing sounds of" Dhum- Dhum" and a saffron- like red glow.

May this complete prayer to Lord Narasimha protect me day after day.

Holding the conch, discus, bow, axe, sword, arrow, trident, noose, and goad, the thunderbolt, shield, plow, mace, club, spear, and possessing fierce fangs, with hair of fire, three eyes, holding the plow and mace, adorned with necklaces and armlets,

I bow to each form of Him who resides in the supreme abode. May Lord Narasimha protect me.
