Every transcription or translation task produces time-coded subtitles you can refine in TranslateMom's browser-based subtitle editor.

Edit subtitles

The editor gives you real-time subtitle editing with precise timing control and a live preview of how the subtitles look over your video. Your work is synchronized to the cloud, so edits are backed up and available across devices.

You can also import existing subtitle files (SRT or VTT) into the editor.

Suggest corrections

Logged-in viewers can propose better wording for individual subtitle lines on a task page: pick the subtitle language, open the suggestion control next to a line, and submit your text. Each suggestion tracks upvotes and downvotes, so the best corrections rise to the top.

Style your captions

The styling panel controls how burned-in captions look:

Preset caption styles to start from
Font family, font size, and font color
Outline color, outline width, and border style (outline or boxed)
Shadow and background color
Vertical subtitle position (draggable, with keyboard shortcuts)
Karaoke-style word highlighting
Your own logo for branding, with adjustable position, scale, and opacity

A live preview shows the styled captions on the video as you tweak them.

Export

When you're done you can:

Download subtitle files in multiple formats: SRT, VTT, ASS, TXT, and ITT.
Export the video with your styled captions burned in. Free exports carry a watermark; paid plans export videos without a watermark, and the Pro plan supports custom branding on exports.
