TranslateMom turns a video or audio file into transcribed, translated subtitles in a few steps.

1. Import your video

Start a new task in the app, then bring in your video one of two ways:

Paste a link. Link import accepts public video links from platforms like X (Twitter) and TikTok. Paste the URL and TranslateMom fetches the video for you. Private, region-locked, or otherwise protected links can fail to download — if that happens, download the video yourself and upload the file instead. YouTube link import is currently disabled — download the YouTube video first, then upload the file.
Upload a file. Upload audio or video files in common formats, including MP4, MKV, WEBM, MOV, AVI, M4V, MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A, and AAC. The upload screen accepts files up to 5 GB, and plans support videos up to 4.5 hours long.

2. Choose your languages

Once the video is imported, pick what you want:

Transcribe the original audio. You can select the source language or leave it on Auto-detect.
Translate into your target language — TranslateMom supports more than 100 languages. See the full supported languages list.

Each credit covers 1 minute of transcription and translation combined — see Credits and Pricing.

If you only need part of a long video, you can select a segment (start and end times) so only that portion is processed and charged.

3. Get your subtitles

Processing runs in the cloud — once it starts, it completes even if you close the page, and finished tasks appear in your task history. Smart voice detection filters out silence and background noise for cleaner subtitles, especially in noisy recordings.

When the task finishes you get time-coded subtitles in the original language and your target language, ready to:

fine-tune in the built-in subtitle editor,
style and export as subtitle files (SRT, VTT, TXT, ASS, ITT), or
burn into an exported video.
